BioMass Power

BioMass refers to living and recently expired biological material that through a proprietary technology, can be used to produce clean energy. Solar Point Africa creates utility-grade BioMass plants from 3MW to over 1000MW.
BioMass is unique in that material traditionally discarded and characterized as garbage can be transformed into a valuable source of inexpensive thermal and electrical energy. It is made possible by an exclusive new technology that controls emissions while cleanly producing an abundance of renewable energy to power communities and businesses. With a BioMass solution in place, there will be power as long as there is refuse. An added advantage of using refuse is that the BioMass energy process also reduces the need for landfills and other places created to store garbage.
How BioMass Energy is Produced
Solar Point Africa has partnered a proprietary system of gasification and emissions control that uses biomass material to create inexpensive thermal and electrical energy.
The process uses a series of ceramic-lined units designed to gasify and combust biomass materials to produce thermal energy. This energy can then be converted into electricity or used to create steam that can power clean turbine engines. With this revolutionary technology, it is possible to convert 98% of almost any biomass source including green waste, sludge, plastics, municipal solid waste ("MSW"), wood and other organics, into useable clean energy.
This process offers cleaner communities and inexpensive energy with exclusive technology that:
- Diverts waste streams from landfills
- Gasifies waste streams to produce thermal energy
- Creates thermal energy that can be converted into electricity
- Minimizes air pollution with low-level exhaust emissions
Solar Point Africa uses BioMass energy along with other renewable resources to create the most efficient and cost-effective approach to all of our energy projects.
