Our technology solutions include the following:

Solar Power
Solar electricity is created by using Photovoltaic (PV) technology by converting solar energy into solar electricity from sunlight. Photovoltaic systems use sunlight to power ordinary electrical equipment, for example, household appliances, computers and lighting.

Wind Power
Wind power is the world's fastest growing electricity generation technology. Wind is a renewable resource because it is inexhaustible. It is a result of the sun shining unevenly on the earth. The corresponding daily and seasonal changes in temperature consistently generate wind, producing a fuel source that can never be depleted. State-of-the-art wind power plants use large spinning blades to capture the kinetic energy in moving wind, which then is transferred to rotors that produce electricity.

Generators
Diesel Generators are a mainstay throughout Nigeria currently. A genset cam be used as an augmentation to an existing electrical grid system or as an "off-grid" power source depending upon the needs of the user. Solar Point Africa will include their use as part of our renewable energy projects to supplement the solar and wind power projects.

BioMass
BioMass refers to living and recently expired biological material that through a proprietary technology, can be used to produce clean energy. Solar Point Africa has partnered with a company that has developed a proprietary system of gasification and emissions control that uses biomass material to create inexpensive thermal and electrical energy. We will employ BioMass along with other renewable, clean technologies in order to find the best possible combination of resources for our projects.

Fuel Cells
Energy storage via battery-based storage systems is another way Solar Point Africa will assure that power remains consistently available This system uses an inverter/charger, which converts AC power from the power grid  to store it on DC batteries. When power from the grid is lost, the inverter converts the DC battery power to AC.  Although they are not designed to provide power over an extended length of time, they can be integrated into renewable power systems to replenish or supplement when power is not available from the grid, or to help batteries support the home's load.

Thermal Power
Solar heating systems are composed of solar thermal collectors, a fluid system to move the heat from the collector to its point of usage, and a reservoir or tank for heat storage and subsequent use.

BioDiesel
Biodiesel fuel is the result of unique technologies that bind natural resources like algae with petroleum based fuel to produce a much cleaner form of energy.
